It was Her Time

I am not good at expressing how I feel when it comes to emotions. I know I will not even be able to come close to expressing what I am thinking and feeling right now.

On Sunday, July 25th, our matriarch, Glow aka PrideNJoyz Afterglow, passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was with me from her first breath until her last. She was born from the first PrideNJoyz litter and was the last of her litter to leave the Earth. I loved her every second of the 13 years, 8 months and 22 days she was here. For me, there will never be another Glow. To those that knew her and loved her she was known as Glow, Glowbird, Glowbug, Bug, Grandma Glow and Glowburt.

She accomplished so much in her lifetime and for this breed. She was a mellow girl and had her sassy side, thanks to her momma, Sapphire. She loved pizza crust and barking to get her way. She had the softest fur you have ever felt...almost like velvet. She loved having her ears rubbed and her butt scratched. I hope she had the pleasure of doing everything she ever wanted. She was loved by so many and will always stay a part of my program.

I know Sapphire, Belmont and Ragu were waiting to see you again at the Rainbow Bridge.

What a journey we had together.

I miss you already. I love you, Glow.

Sadly, we received word that on the same day of Glow's passing, one of her daughter's also passed. We hope that Glow was there to guide Nika over the Rainbow Bridge. Nika was the sister to our Spanky, born from Fuoco della Nevaia and Glow.

RIP PrideNJoyz Teachers Pet aka Nika. Loved by the Fidler family and me.

"It's been a long day without you, my friend

And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again

We've come a long way from where we began

Oh, I'll tell you all about it when I see you again

When I see you again." ~Charlie Puth
